Adam Kohler oversees the financial planning process at JJ Burns. He helps to simplify the complexities of clients’ financial lives in order to assist them on the path toward realizing their short and long-term goals. Adam also manages the planning team, researches financial planning strategies, and provides educational seminars to advisors, business partners, and clients.
Adam holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Dowling College and an M.A. in Philosophy from Stony Brook University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
On the personal side
Adam lives in Babylon, New York with his wife Jessica and daughters Lily and Aubrey. He hasn’t shot an apple off anyone’s head yet, but does indulge in target archery whenever he gets a chance. On a tamer note, Adam also loves to go birding and play board games.

Adam can’t cook, but holds his own as the designated cocktail master, mixing a mean Old Fashioned at family functions.
